Events Overview
By joining the Alliance Française de Tucson you become a member of a community, not only a student in a class. We offer a broad range of cultural and social events to discover and share Francophone cultures.
Conversation Groups

Members of all proficiency levels can enjoy free weekly conversation groups. We offer beginning, intermediate and advanced French conversation groups, as well as an intermediate Spanish conversation group for our polyglot members. Once a month, practice your French and enjoy a great meal with Francophile friends of all levels at our in-person chat on the patio at Govinda’s.
Ciné-Discussion

View a film in the comfort of your home and then participate in a discussion with other Alliance Française members and a native French-speaking facilitator. Share ideas, interpretations, and opinions in a lively discussion about the film while improving your French skills.
Book Clubs

We offer two levels of book clubs for members, Le Club du Livre on Zoom for high beginner to low intermediate, and Le Cercle Littéraire in-person for high intermediate to advanced levels. We come together to discuss our thoughts, share what we have learned, and practice French.
Workshops and Presentations

We offer a variety of workshops and presentations throughout the year. These events provide focused content in specific subjects, such as French idioms, French for travelers, French cooking and wine, aspects of French culture, and other topics.
Alliance Française USA Online Events

Join Francophiles across the country in presentations hosted by our parent organization, Alliance Française USA. These online events cover a wide range of topics: from literature, theatre, culture, history and travel to practical advice on moving to France and adjusting to life in a new country.
