Policies

  • Payment

Payment for a class is due by time of registration and can be made online (by credit card) or at the Office by credit card or check* (no cash please). A discount will be offered for early bird registration. Tuition does not cover any books or materials.

*Bounced checks will result in an additional fee of $25.

  • Early bird discount

For some classes and events, a 10% early bird discount will be offered for students who register and pay before a given date.

  • Age Requirement

All adults’classes are for age 18 and up. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the director.

  • Missed classes

Missed classes are non-refundable. Students are encouraged to contact their teachers via email to obtain missed work or assignments.

However, students who are going to miss a class are welcome to contact our office for a complimentary make-up class in another group class of the equivalent level and length in time (only with the director’s approval). Make up classes must be scheduled within the same session and limits of availability. Students must contact the Alliance Française by email to alliancefrancaisetuscon@gmail.com before the date of the class in order to have their request approved.

  • Cancellations

The Alliance Française de Tucson reserves the right to cancel courses, adjust curriculum or change Teachers at any time during the session.

A minimum of three enrollments is required to open a group class (six enrollments for workshops). Classes for three registered Students are one hour. Classes with more Students than three are one hour and a half. If you are registered in a class or a workshop that is cancelled, you will be notified by email and refunded.

  • Withdrawal Policy

No refunds can be made in case of withdrawal from a group class or a workshop after the end of early bird registration (usually one week before opening).

In case of withdrawal before the end of early bird registration, the demand must be notified by email at alliancefrancaisetucson@gmail.com . Please state the course name and the reason for cancellation.

Exams, books, and memberships are non-refundable.

Exceptional circumstances will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

  • Private class cancellation policy

If you need to cancel a lesson, you must contact your teacher directly at least 24 hours in advance or you will be charged for a one-hour lesson.

Private course tuition is non-refundable. It expires 6-8 months from date of purchase (depending on number of hours purchased).

  • Membership

Members enjoy a discount on tuition for classes or events at the AFT.

  • Books

Books are compulsory for some classes. Books are not mailed. They will be distributed on the first day of the session or can be picked up beforehand.

Tuition costs do not include textbooks, workbooks, or books required for literature classes.
