  • Membership

Members enjoy a discount on tuition for classes at the AFT.

  • Books

Books are compulsory for some classes. Books are not mailed. They will be distributed on the first day of the session or can be picked up beforehand.

Tuition costs do not include textbooks, workbooks, or books required for literature classes.

  • Payment

Payment for a class is due by the end of the first week of class and can be made by credit card, check*, or cash. Tuition does not cover any books or materials.
*Bounced checks will result in an additional fee of $25.

  • Missed classes

Students may contact their teachers via email to obtain missed work. If a student is going to miss a class, they can make it up by taking another class (of the same level) at a different time, ONLY with the director/teacher’s approval.

Class fees will not be pro-rated.

  • Age Requirement

    All adults classes are for age 18 and up. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the director.

  • Cancellations

  • The Alliance Française reserves the right to cancel a class if enrollment does not meet the minimum enrollment requirement (four students).

 

  • Withdrawal Policy

Refunds will be processed within 10 days according to the following policy:

Cancellation notified in writing 3 business days prior to the first class: Student will be refunded full tuition, minus $80 fee. Refunds will be processed to the credit card used for payment or issued in the form of a check if payment was made by cash or check.

No refunds will be given less than 3 days prior to the first class or after the first class.

Please note that absence from class does not constitute notice of withdrawal.

Tuition cannot be transferred to another person, to private lessons, or to a future session.

Exams, books, and memberships are non-refundable.

Group Classes

All cancellations must be received in writing in the form of an email or letter (with a postmark establishing the date of the request). Please state the course name and the reason for the cancellation. Withdrawals or refunds cannot be made by telephone.

Private Class cancellation policy:

If you need to cancel a lesson, you must contact your teacher directly at least 24 hours in advance or you will be charged for a one-hour lesson.

Reimbursement for Private Classes:

Private course tuition is non-refundable and not transferable to group classes or to another student. Private course tuition payments expire 6-8 months from date of purchase (depending on number of hours purchased). A minimum purchase of five hours is required.

Reimbursement for Events: 

Refunds will be issued when Alliance Francaise cancels an event, or upon a 24-hour request for refund with or without cause sent via email to: alliancefrancaisetucson@gmail.com, by an attendee.
No other refunds will be given.
